Patoo is school management software made for Jamaican high schools (Grades 7 to 13) that turns teachers' marks into report cards with class and grade positions.
From mark sheet to report card, step by step.
- Teachers enter marks once
One mark sheet per class, with as many tests as you need and a weight for each. Marks can be pasted from Excel. Codes for absent, excused, exempt, not submitted and medical keep the sheet honest.
- The head of department approves
Teachers submit their sheets. The head of department or grade supervisor approves a sheet or sends it back. Sheets lock when report cards are published.
- Patoo works out the rest
Averages, grades, and class and grade positions. Students who tie share a position (1, 2, 3, 3, 5).
- Form teachers add comments
Conduct and comments go on every card. The comment helper suggests a comment from the student's real marks, attendance and conduct. The teacher reads and edits it.
- Print, publish or email
Print a whole form's report cards as one PDF, publish them so parents see them on their phones, or email them. Published cards are frozen. A correction makes a new version.

Patoo does not send SMS or WhatsApp messages yet. Report cards reach parents on their phones through the parent portal, or by email. Past marks and old report cards from another system are not imported, so they stay in your old system for now.

How does Patoo work out class and grade positions?
Patoo works out each student's average and grade from the marks teachers enter, then ranks students in their class and in their grade. Students who tie share a position (1, 2, 3, 3, 5).
Can parents see report cards on their phone?
Yes. When the school publishes a report card, parents who have signed in with the school's invitation see it in their phone's browser. The school can also print report cards or email them. Patoo does not send SMS or WhatsApp messages yet.
Does Patoo write the comments for teachers?
No. The comment helper suggests comments from the student's real marks, attendance and conduct, using built-in rules, not an AI model. The teacher reads and edits every comment, and the school can switch the helper off.
Can we fix a mistake after report cards are published?
Yes. Published report cards are frozen so nobody changes them quietly. A correction makes a new version of the card.
